Twas’ the night before a product launch and all through the web…
All the gurus were stirring, all smug in their beds…
Their servers were ready, workers in place
To inundate the emails and win the affiliate race
The gurus were nestled all ready to tread
While visions of dollar signs danced in their heads
And newbies in their western union turkey istanbul 2 curiosity unsuspecting the rage
Had just given up and turned the last page
When alas suddenly the day had come
Newbies spring from their beds to see who the emails were from
Away to the computer they fly like a flash
Fire up the engines and hope for some quick cash
Much to their surprise, alas, could their dreams come tru
e?
They see a chance to become a millionaire without much to do
A promise here, a promise there; it’s time to get in the flow!
How could these gurus steer me wrong? They sure look like they know…
What it takes to make money online
For they got to where they were without spending a dime
I whistled and shouted and called my friends about the pitch
John, Sally and Susan…I am going to be rich!
I bought that product in a hurry because it said there were only 5 left
I didn’t want to lose out and be left in the dust like they said!
Alas, the answer to my prayers came in a simple download link
I can’t believe I finally found my answer, at least I think
Why is it taking me so long to make money?
Why is it so hard and people thinking I am phony?
Value and time– what is that?
They told me I could get my 1,000,000 links in a quick snap
I feel betrayed and nobody told me what it would really take
My dreams are shattered; I have so much at stake.
And giving up on his dreams so fast…
The newbie was disillusioned by the gurus at last

This poem is dedicated to anyone who is frustrated with some marketers who don’t tell the whole story…
Thanks to all the great marketers who offer value and don’ t jus
t spam my inbox with useless information. You know who you are.

I love it Jenna! Very clever! I agree completely and too want to thank all the honest marketers out there!
Awesome and so true Jenna! Thanks for sharing this and helping others to realize and understand it really takes hard work and determination to make money online. That is the reality.
Thanks Jenny. I got so frustrated this morning with the crazy emails, I had to express myself somehow. Yes, power to all the honest marketers out there, however few they may be!
Yes, Holly I agree. Nobody really tells you when you start how hard it can be. Thanks for being one of the honest and amazing marketers!
Hey, an excellent poem Jenna. You got a real gift for telling a story well, and it flowed awesomely. I’m so tired of “make money” product launches (at least from dishonest types), I could almost…(oh oh here it comes….)…
I’m finding lately it’s more beneficial to help provide people with helpful softwares and tools to make their life a little bit easier as marketers, than most of the re-hashed “how to” products we see hammered out day after day.
Anyhow, really enjoyed the poem Jenna. Hmm, looks like I better get back to some link building eh?
By the way, you forgot to add me to your Skype lady. Hope you and your husband are well..take care of yourself.

Hi Davin,
Thanks for the comment. I don’t mind product launches as long as they aren’t accompanied by all of the false promises. That’s what gets so frustrating! It makes people think they don’t have to work to make money online and then they are disappointed because they were never told the truth. I love marketers who offer great products but also give a realistic assessment about what it is and what it will take to make money. That’s why I respect people like you and Holly and some other great marketers. Unfortunately, there are only a few.
I purchased one of your keyword packs. I think it is a great idea! Especially for people who can’t afford higher priced software.
I will add you on Skype…Im assuming I just search by your first and last name? I’m not on there much…getting used to the software.
Thanks!
